GERMAN STYLE SAUERKRAUT 
3 slices bacon
1 onion, chopped
1 can sauerkraut
1 potato, grated
3 tbsp. white wine

Saute bacon and onion in skillet until browned. Crumble bacon slices, return to skillet. Add sauerkraut and potato, cook over low heat for 10 minutes. Add wine. Stir well.
