STRAWBERRY PRETZEL DESSERT 
2 c. crushed pretzels (sm. stick)
1/2 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. butter, softened
1/3 c. coarsely chopped pecans
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1 scant c. granulated sugar
1 tub (9 oz.) whipped topping
1 box (6 oz.) strawberry gelatin or 2 (3 oz.) boxes
2 c. boiling water
2 boxes (10 oz.) frozen strawberries

Mix crushed pretzels (not too fine), 1/2 cup sugar, butter and pecans together. Press mixture very lightly into a greased 9 x 13 x 2 inch pan. Bake 10 minutes in 350 degree oven. Cool.

Combine cream cheese, 1 scant cup sugar and whipped topping. Spread on top of first layer.

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Add frozen strawberries. When 75 percent congealed, put on top of first layer. Refrigerate for several hours or overnight before serving. Different fruits and gelatin flavors may be used.
