CABBAGE AND GROUND BEEF | |
Brown 1 pound ground beef in 2 tablespoons bacon drippings, breaking up meat with a fork as it cooks. Push to one side. Stir in 1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup). Saute until soft. Shred 1 small head of cabbage coarsely. Stir into mixture in frying pan with 1 can condensed tomato soup, 1 teaspoon vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/8 teaspoon pepper. Heat to boiling. Cover and simmer 25 minutes. Yield 4-6 servings. |
