COOKIE SURPRISE 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. chopped dates
1 c. chopped pecans
1 can Eagle Brand milk
1 box Ritz crackers
3 c. powdered sugar
1 stick butter
1/4 tsp. almond extract
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Sm. amount of milk

Cook first 3 ingredients in a double boiler until thick. Cool slightly and spread on Ritz crackers. Bake at 325 degrees for 8 minutes.

Combine powdered sugar, butter, almond extract, vanilla and small amount of milk. Mix well and spread on top of cooled cookies. Hint: Don't put in airtight container.
