NO FAIL CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
1/2 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
3 c. cake flour, sifted
5 lg. or 6 sm. eggs
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. cocoa
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 1/4 c. sweet milk

Cream butter, shortening and sugar. Sift dry ingredients together. Add dry ingredients and milk alternately about 1/3 at a time, beating constantly. Add eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla. Pour batter into greased and floured tube pan and bake 1 1/2 hours at 300 degrees.
