DAFFODIL CAKE 
1 tsp. cream of tartar
6 eggs, separated
1/2 c. water
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour

Mix and beat egg whites with cream of tartar stiff. Set aside.

Mix egg yolks with 1/2 cup water; beat. Add 1 1/2 cups sugar slowly about 1 minute. Add 1 1/2 cups flour slowly. Mix 2-3 minutes. Add 1 teaspoon either lemon juice or vanilla. Fold egg white mixture into the above mixture.
