SAUSAGE SWIRLS 
1 lb. ground sausage or ground beef
1/2 c. celery, chopped
1/2 c. onion, chopped
1/2 can cream of mushroom soup
2 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
1/2 c. sharp cheese, grated
1 c. milk

CHEESE SAUCE:

1/2 c. sharp cheese, grated
1/2 c. milk
1/2 can cream of mushroom soup

Brown meat, celery, and onion. Drain. Mix in soup. Measure flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening and cheese. Add milk. Stir with fork to moisten. Turn out onto lightly floured board. Knead 20 times. Roll out into 9 x 12 inch rectangle. Spread sausage mixture. Roll up like jelly roll. Seal. Cut into six 1/2 inch pieces. Place cut side down in greased 9 x 13 inch casserole dish or 2 baking sheets. Bake at 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes.

To make cheese sauce, heat cheese, milk and soup in saucepan. Serve beside sausage swirls. This is an easy but elegant looking meal.
