PUMPKIN COOKIES 
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chocolate chips, optional
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening or butter, melted
1 c. pumpkin
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Mix all together well. Drop on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake 12 minutes at 350 degrees. Makes 3 dozen.

FROSTING:

3 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
4 tbsp. milk
1 c. powdered sugar
3/4 tsp. vanilla

Boil first 3 ingredients for 2 minutes. Cool and add powdered sugar and vanilla. Mix well and frost cooled cookies.
