PUMPKIN COOKIES 
1 c. sugar
1 c. butter

1 c. canned pumpkin
1 egg

2 c. flour
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. cloves

1 c. chopped nuts or 1 c. raisins if desired

Drop on greased cookie sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes at 350 degrees.

FROSTING:

3 tbsp. butter
4 tbsp. milk
1/2 c. brown sugar

1 c. sifted powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Frost cookies when cool. This frosting should be thin when put on cookie. Will harden. (In pan or on cookie). Approximately 3 or 4 dozen.
