GAYLE'S BUTTER TARTS 
Pie Pastry - enough to make a double crust pie
1/3 c. butter, melted
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
2 tsp. milk
1/2 c. raisins/currants
1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla

Put pastry in tart shells. Mix all ingredients and put in shells.

Bake in 450°F oven for 8 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350°F and bake until thoroughly browned.
