MAGIC BISCUITS 
3 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
2 pkgs. yeast
1 tsp. baking soda
4 tbsp. sugar
1/4 c. warm water
1 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
2 c. buttermilk

Dissolve yeast in warm water, sift dry ingredients and cut in shortening. Add yeast and milk. Knead 20 to 30 times. Roll and cut out 3/4 inches thick. Allow to rise 10 minutes. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. If stored in refrigerator allow 15 to 20 minutes.
