CHICKEN RONNIE 
2 whole chicken breasts, skinned, boned, halved & flattened with excess fat removed
2 very ripe pears, peeled, cored & quartered
4 slices Monterey Jack cheese
1/2 c. flavored bread crumbs
1/2 c. ginger ale
1 tsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. soy sauce
1/8 tsp. ginger
1/2 c. chopped pecans
2 tsp. butter
Sprig of chopped fresh parsley

1. In a flat dish, press bread crumbs into chicken on both sides; reserve.

2. In a mixing bowl, mix ginger ale, brown sugar, soy sauce, ginger, pecans and parsley; reserve.

3. Oven - proof casserole dish large enough to contain the 4 chicken breasts.

ASSEMBLY:

1. Place breaded chicken in casserole dish. Top chicken with half of pear. Top with Monterey Jack cheese and dot with butter.

2. Spoon ginger ale mixture around chicken.

3. Bake in a preheated 425 degree oven for 20 minutes.

4. Remove chicken to heated plates and spoon sauce around chicken. This is a great dish when pears are in season.
