MID EAST MEATBALLS 
1 c. cold water
1 c. bulgar
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 c. chopped onion
1/2 tsp. ground allspice
3 c. beef broth
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
3 c. plain yogurt
1 lg. egg
1 tbsp. cornstarch

Add cold water to bulgar and let set 20 minutes; squeeze out excess water. Add allspice, meat, and pepper to bulgar; mix. Have 3 cups broth boiling and drop small balls of bulgar mix into boiling broth. When broth reaches boiling again, turn down to simmer and cook, uncovered, for 20 minutes. Stir gently. Mix yogurt, egg and cornstarch, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Add yogurt mixture to boiling meatball mixture; reduce heat and simmer 3 minutes. Serve with brown rice or egg noodles.
