6 oz. evaporated milk
1 egg white, beaten stiff
1 stick butter
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Scald milk. While cooling, beat egg white. Cream butter and sugar. Add vanilla. Beat in egg white. Gradually add milk, beating constantly, until mixture thickens (approximately 10 minutes).
