ITALIAN COOKIES 
7 c. flour
10 eggs
1 orange pulp & skin, grated
7 tbsp. baking powder
2 c. sugar
Dash of salt
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 c. shortening
1 c. walnuts, chopped

ICING:

3 tbsp. butter, softened with vanilla extract

CAKE: Mix all ingredients together. Blend well. Use electric mixer. Stir in nuts. Shape into 2 inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets 2 inches apart. Bake 7 to 10 minutes. Cookies should be light colored, not brown. Remove from cookie sheets and cool.

ICING: Add powdered sugar and milk to make creamy icing. Spread on cooled cookies.
