APPLE CRISPY 
5-6 lg. cooking apples (Winesap, Golden Delicious, or Pippin)
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. cinnamon
4 tbsp. butter
6 tbsp. flour
2/3 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed

Peel, quarter and core apples and arrange in a buttered 9-inch square baking pan. Sprinkle with lemon juice and dust with cinnamon.

For topping, mix with a pastry blender or two knives, the butter, flour, and brown sugar; sprinkle evenly over the apple slices. Bake at 375 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until tender. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream. Yield: 6 servings.
