ITALIAN POUND CAKE 
3 c. flour, not sifted
3 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. shortening consisting of (3/4 c. butter, room temp. & 3/4 c. Crisco)
6 eggs
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond

Put all ingredients in bowl and beat at high speed for 5 1/2 minutes. Grease and flour in angel cake pan. Bake 1 hour and 20 minutes in 350 degree oven.
