BREAD PUDDING | |
5 slices toasted and buttered white or raisin/cinnamon bread 4 eggs, beaten 1 qt. milk 2/3 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla Cinnamon and nutmeg Beat eggs in large ovenware glass bowl; add milk, salt, vanilla, sugar and beat with electric mixer until all dissolved. Place toast on top of mixture letting it soak in good. Sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg over the pudding. Place in roasting pan half full of hot water and bake in 375 degree oven for about 45 or 50 minutes or until lightly browned. Insert silver knife in center to test and if it comes out clean, it's done. Remove pudding from pan and cool slowly. |
