MARIETTA'S GLAZED DOUGHNUTS 
1 c. milk, scalded
1 c. cold water
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 pkg. yeast
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. salt
6 c. flour

Combine all ingredients except flour. Add flour gradually. Cover in warm place for 1 hour.

Let rise once, work down a place on slightly floured board. Roll out 1/4 inch thick. Cut and let rise; fry in oil.

ICING:

1 box powdered sugar
1 tbsp. butter
2/3 c. hot water
1 tbsp. vanilla
