MY BISCUITS 
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. Crisco
1 c. buttermilk or enough for a soft dough
3 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt (more if desired)

Mix dry ingredients. Cut in Crisco with pastry blender. Add buttermilk and knead well to soft dough. Cut out into biscuits and bake at 400°F until brown (12 to 15 minutes).

Makes 12 to 15 biscuits.
