JAM CAKE 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 1/4 c. flour
1 c. blackberry jam
1 c. strawberry jam
3 eggs
1/4 c. sour milk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon
1/8 tsp. salt

Cream butter and sugar, beat in eggs one at a time. Add jam. Beat thoroughly. Sift flour and spices. Alternate with milk to first mixture, beating thoroughly. Bake at 350 degrees about 30 minutes. Will make 3 layers or 2 layers and 9 cupcakes.

CARAMEL ICING:

2 c. sifted powdered sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 stick butter
1/4 c. Carnation evaporated milk
2 tsp. vanilla

Boil for 3 minutes the brown sugar, butter and milk. Add sugar and vanilla.
