MOLASSES CRINKLES | |
1 c. packed brown sugar 3/4 c. shortening 1/4 c. molasses 1 egg 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour 2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. ground cinnamon 1 tsp. ground ginger 1/2 tsp. ground cloves 1/4 tsp. salt Mix brown sugar, shortening, molasses and egg. Mix in flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and salt. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Shape dough by rounded teaspoonful into balls. Dip tops in granulated sugar. Place balls sugared sides up about 3 inches apart on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake just until set, 10-12 minutes. Immediately remove cookies from sheet. (About 4 dozen cookies.) |
