1 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 tsp. coconut flavoring
1 tsp. rum flavoring
1 tsp. imitation butter flavor
1 tsp. almond flavoring
1 tsp. lemon flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine sugar, water, and flavorings in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and stir until sugar is dissolved. Spoon half of hot mixture over hot cake before turning cake out of pan. Keep remaining glaze on low heat while glaze sinks into cake, then turn cake out and spoon remaining mix on.

A family reunion in Georgia has produced a new name for an old favorite. A reader says that the Huggin' Cake, which Winston-Salem folds know as the Five-Flavor Cake, was a big hit at her family reunion. It's called a Huggin' Cake, she says, because it is so good that one bite makes you want to hug the baker.
