1 egg
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. Wesson oil
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. flour
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix egg, sugar and oil. Sift dry ingredients together and add to sugar mixture alternately with buttermilk. Add vanilla and beat 2 minutes. Bake 30 minutes.

Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees in 8 inch square pan. Top with your favorite chocolate icing.
