CARAMEL CANDY 
1 c. butter
Pinch of salt
1 c. light corn syrup
3 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sweetened condensed milk

Melt butter in heavy pan. Add brown sugar and salt; mix well. Stir in milk and corn syrup. Stir constantly. Cook and stir over medium heat until firm ball stage (245 degrees), 12 to 15 minutes. Remove and stir in vanilla. Pour into buttered 9 x 13 inch pan. Cut and wrap in waxed paper.
