1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. lard or butter
2 eggs
1/2 c. cold black coffee
2 c. flour
1 c. chopped fine raw apples
1 or 1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. nut meats
1 tsp. salt
1 rounding tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
Little cloves

Cream sugar, salt, shortening and salt. Add coffee, apples, raisins and nut meats. Mix soda, nutmeg, cloves, and cinnamon in flour before adding to rest of mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until done.
