GLAZED CHERRY PIE | |
9-inch unbaked pie shell 1 c. sugar 1/8 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. lemon juice 3/4 c. red-currant jelly 1/8 tsp. cinnamon 4 c. fresh pitted cherries or 2 cans tart red cherries 1/4 c. flour 2 tbsp. butter 1/8 tsp. cloves 3/4 c. whipped cream Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In large bowl combine cherries, sugar, salt, flour and lemon juice. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Dot with butter; bake 40 minutes. Cool pie. Melt jelly in saucepan. Stir in cloves and cinnamon. Spoon over cherries. Cool. If desired, serve topped with whipped cream. |
