OVERNIGHT FRENCH TOAST | |
4 (3/4 inch thick) slices French bread 2 eggs 1/2 c. milk 2 tsp. sugar Dash of salt 1 tbsp. orange juice 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract 2 tbsp. butter Place bread in a 12 x 8 x 2 inch baking dish. Combine eggs, milk, sugar, salt, orange juice, and vanilla; beat well. Pour mixture over bread slices; turn to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight. Melt butter in a large skillet; carefully remove bread slices from dish and saute in butter 4 minutes on each side or until browned. Sprinkle toast with powdered sugar; serve immediately. |
