PORK ASADO 
1 fresh picnic (4 to 5 lb.)
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. soy sauce
3/4 c. water
1/3 c. cooking wine
2 cloves garlic
1/2 tsp. MSG
Ground black pepper to taste

Chop garlic and place along with rest of ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil; then cut to simmer with pot covered. Simmer for about 3 hours, turning over every 1/2 hour.

When meat is done, remove from pot. Bring sauce to high temperature, as it boils stir. When sauce begins to thicken, remove from heat. Slice meat thinly; serve with sauce and rice.
