BLUEBERRY COBBLER | |
2 c. fresh blueberries 1 c. sugar 1 stick butter 2 tbsp. lemon juice 2 1/2 c. water Place berries, sugar, sliced butter, lemon juice and water in 9 x 13 inch baking dish. PASTRY: 1 1/2 c. all purpose flour 1/2 c. Crisco 1/4 c. water 1/4 c. sweet milk Mix flour and Crisco with fork until crumbly. Add water and sweet milk. Knead well. Divide pastry in two parts and roll thin. Cut in strips and place crosswise on fruit, sprinkle a little sugar over first layer. Add second layer of pastry crosswise (opposite first). Sprinkle sugar on top. Bake at 350 degrees or until brown. |
