HOMEMADE EGG NOG 
2 c. sugar
1/2 gallon milk
2 cans evaporated milk
1 tsp. cornstarch
4 egg yolks
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Separate eggs. Save whites in another bowl.

Into egg yolks add 1 teaspoon milk and 2 cups sugar; mix well.

In a large pot pour 1/2 gallon of milk only. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Add the egg, sugar, cream mixture along with nutmeg, cornstarch and bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Whip egg whites and 1 to 3 teaspoons sugar until stiff. Spoon egg whites into egg nog.
