SNICKERDOODLE COFFEE CAKE 
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. butter

BREAD:

1 3/4 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
1 egg
3/4 c. milk

Mix topping ingredients and set aside. Set oven at 400 degrees, grease 9 x 9 inch pan. Cut shortening (may use butter) into dry ingredients. Add milk to beaten egg and mix into dry ingredients until well moistened. Spread in pan. Sprinkle on topping. Bake 20-25 minutes. Double recipe for 9 x 13 inch pan. Serve hot. May be frozen and reheat.
