PECAN CHEWS 
2 c. sugar
3 c. whipping cream
1 c. white syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
2 qts. pecan pieces

Mix in large saucepan the sugar, white syrup and 1 cup cream. Cook to soft ball stage. Add 1 cup cream and cook to soft ball stage again. Add last cup of cream and cook to hard ball stage. Add vanilla. Stir. Add pecans and stir. Pour into 13x9 inch pan. Cool. Cut in squares.
