EASTER BREAD 
1 dozen eggs
1/2 c. warm milk
3/4 c. melted butter
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. warm water
2 c. sugar
2 lemons and oranges
1 tsp. anise seeds and flavoring

Put dry yeast in 1/4 cup warm water with 1 teaspoon of sugar. Mix with mixer eggs, milk, butter, sugar, the grated rind from the lemons and oranges, the juice from the lemons and oranges, and anise seeds and flavoring. Add yeast. Add flour as needed (about 11 cups). Knead 20 minutes. Rise overnight. Punch down. Knead 20 minutes more and shape. Rise 2 to 3 hours. Brush with egg and water. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
