SLOPPY JOES 
1 lb. hamburger
2 tbsp. shortening
2/3 c. chopped onions
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. flour
1 c. water
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
3/4 c. ketchup
10 sandwich buns

Melt shortening in skillet, add beef, onions, salt, pepper and flour. Cook only until meat turns very light brown, stirring occasionally. Drain off any excess fat. Stir in the water, Worcestershire sauce and ketchup. Simmer. Stir occasionally for 15 or 20 minutes or until desired. Consistency is obtained. Serve in heated buns.
