4 lg. onions
1 c. grated American cheese
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 sm. pkg. potato chips

Slice onions into a greased casserole dish. Top with cheese, soup and mashed chips. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
