HONEY GLAZED SPARERIBS | |
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1/2 c. honey 2 tbsp. minced onion 2 tbsp. red wine vinegar 1 tsp. celery seeds 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 clove garlic, minced 1/2 c. dry sherry 4 lb. spare ribs Combine first 9 ingredients in a heavy saucepan; simmer, stirring occasionally, about 20 minutes. Stir in sherry. Cut ribs into serving size pieces; place on grill over slow coals. Brush with sauce, and cook an additional 2 hours, basting and turning frequently. Baste ribs with remaining sauce before serving. Yields 4 servings. |
