CHIPPED BEEF ON TOAST 
2 beef bouillon cubes
1 c. water
1 c. milk
1 tbsp. cornstarch (more for desired thickness)
1 or 2 (8 oz.) pkgs. dried beef
1 (10 oz.) box frozen mixed vegetables
1 (4 oz.) can mushroom stems & pieces, drained
Salt & pepper, to taste

Mix water, milk, bouillon cubes, salt and pepper and cornstarch in large skillet. Heat over medium heat until bubbling, stirring frequently. Add vegetables and mushrooms, continue stirring until desired thickness. Add beef and heat through. Serve warm over slices of toast. Can be made ahead and heated again later. Serves 4.
