3 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
1 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup milk
2 eggs
2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
3 cups chopped apples
1 cup raisins

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Add first 10 ingredients to bowl of electric mixer and beat at low speed for 2 minutes, scraping bowl frequently. Mix well. Stir in walnuts, apples and raisins. Pour into two greased and floured (9-inch) pans.

Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.

Makes two (9-inch) cakes.
