SOFT CRUST PIZZA | |
4 tbsp. yeast 1 c. warm water 3 c. warm water 2 tsp. salt 3/4 c. sugar 9 c. flour SAUCE: 2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce 2 cloves garlic, minced 3 tbsp. leaf oregano 3 tbsp. whole basil Dissolve yeast in 1 cup warm water. Mix 3 cups water, salt, and sugar. Add yeast mixture. Stir in flour until well blended. Divide and spread dough with well greased hands onto 4 well greased cookie pans (or 6 large pizza pans). Dough is quite sticky. Mix Sauce ingredients. Spread on pizzas. Toppings: Use a combination of cheeses to equal 1 1/2 pounds or more (Mozzarella, Monterey Jack, Cheddar, Parmesan). Add as desired: 2 pounds sausage (browned), 2 pounds hamburger (browned), pepperoni, canned mushrooms, olives, green pepper, pineapple chunks, etc. Bake at 350 to 375 degrees for 20- 30 minutes or until done. |
