KEY LIME PIE 
6 egg yolks
6 egg whites
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
6 tbsp. fresh key lime juice
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tbsp. cream of tartar

Beat egg yolks - blend in condensed milk slowly and add the lime juice. Mix well. Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until stiff peaks form. Fold half of the stiff egg whites into the filling mixture. Pour filling into a 9-inch baked pie shell. Top and garnish with the rest of the meringue. Bake in a 350 degree oven until golden brown. Chill pie for several hours before serving.
