STRAWBERRY SHORT CAKE 
1 c. butter
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. cake flour
1 c. heavy cream, unwhipped

Cream butter and sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add flour, alternately with flour. Pour into 2 (10 inch) pans. Greased very well. Bake 40 to 45 minutes in 350 degree oven.

Slice strawberries, whip 4 cups heavy cream with 1/4 cup 10xx sugar. Spread on bottom layer of strawberries. Cover with top layer. Place whole strawberry on top.
