ED'S FAVORITE LAYERED DESSERT 
1 (18 1/4 oz.) pkg. super moist buttered cake mix (yellow)
1 pt. whipped cream (Cool Whip)
1 lg. can crushed pineapple
1 (8 serving size) pkg. instant vanilla flavored pudding
Milk
Eggs
Butter
Coconut (optional)

Prepare pudding mix. Set aside. Prepare cake according to package directions. Bake in 9 x 13 inch (deep) cake pan. Let cool. Pour entire can of crushed pineapple with juice over cake and spread. Spread pudding over crushed pineapple. Top with whipped cream. Sprinkle shredded coconut on top. Chill for at least 2 hours (better if refrigerated overnight!). Serves 16.
