PLANTATION SHRIMP PILAU 
4 slices bacon
1 c. raw rice
3 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. chopped celery
1 sm. onion, chopped
2 tbsp. chopped bell pepper
2 c. shrimp, cleaned
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tsp. Worcestershire
2 tbsp. flour
1 1/4 c. water (for rice)

Fry bacon until crisp. Save to use later. Add bacon drippings to water in which you cook rice - salt and pepper. In another pot - melt butter. Add celery, onion and bell pepper. Saute a few minutes. Add shrimp which have been sprinkled with flour and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer until done. Now add cooked rice and stir until well mixed. Crumble bacon over the top. Serves 6.
