DOUGHNUTS 
1 c. shortening
2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. boiling water
2 tbsp. yeast softened in 1/2 c. lukewarm water
4 eggs
7 1/2 c. flour
1 c. water

Cream together shortening, salt and sugar. Pour boiling water over creamed mixture. Add softened yeast. Add beat; beat. Add flour and 1 cup water and beat well. Place in refrigerator several hours or overnight. Dough may be rolled and cut for doughnuts, raised and deep fried or made into rolls.

GLAZE:

1 tsp. unflavored gelatin, softened in 1 tbsp. cold water
2 tbsp. hot water
1 c. powdered sugar
