CARAMEL RICE KRISPIES CANDY | |
1/2 stick butter 1 tbsp. corn syrup 1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed 1 tbsp. water 1/8 tsp. salt 3 1/2 c. Rice Krispies In a heavy skillet combine butter, syrup. heat slowly, add brown sugar, water and salt. Keep stirring and boil over low heat until few drops dropped in cold water form a firm ball. Add cereal all at once and stir well. Remove from heat and spread quickly in buttered 9 x 13 inch pan. pat down firmly; cool and break in pieces. Makes 20 to 30 large pieces. |
