MICROWAVE CARAMEL POPCORN 
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. corn syrup
Pinch cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 qt. popped popcorn
1/2 c. salted peanuts or pecans

Mix brown sugar, butter, syrup and cream of tartar in large glass bowl. Microwave on high for 2 minutes; stir microwave 1 minute more. Add soda and quickly mix with popcorn and nuts. Spread in a glass baking dish. Microwave at medium for 5 minutes, watching closely to be sure it doesn't burn.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
