PUMPKIN MOLASSES COOKIES 
1 c. butter
2/3 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. pumpkin
1/2 c. molasses
1 egg
3-1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1-1/4 tsp. ginger
1-1/4 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves

Mix butter and sugar. Add pumpkin, molasses and egg. Add dry ingredients. Chill until firm, at least 2 hours. Take 1/2 dough and roll 1/4 inch thick. Keep other half chilled. Cut into desired shapes. Bake on greased sheets, 350 degrees for 14 to 15 minutes until edges are light brown. Cool on pans about 5 minutes before removing.
