WORLD'S BEST GINGER MOLASSES
COOKIES
 
4 1/2 c. flour
4 tsp. baking soda
4 tsp. cinnamon
4 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
1 lb. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1/2 c. molasses
Granulated sugar

Cream brown sugar and shortening until fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each. Beat in molasses. Stir in flour mix (first 6 ingredients). Drop by tablespoons into bowl of granulated sugar. Place on greased baking sheet, sugar side up, about 2" apart. Bake at 375 degrees for about 15 minutes. Makes about 50 cookies.
