COCONUT PIE FILLING 
3 egg yolks
1 c. sugar
3 heaping tbsp. flour
2 c. milk
1/2 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. coconut

Put first four ingredients in large pan and mix with mixer then cook stirring continuously, until thick, then take off heat and add remaining ingredients. Pour into baked pie shell, put on topping and bake until topping is lightly browned.

TOPPING:

Beat 6 egg whites until they peak then add 15 tablespoons sugar continue beating until dissolved.
